*Full Member ($349):This category requires a doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university, or member or fellow status with the American Psychological Association.
*New Full Member 1st Year ($266):New WSPA Members must meet the same membership requirements as full members.These members will receive reduced fees for their first year of membership.One of the following must apply to these members: 1. They have never been a WSPA member or 2. They have not been a WSPA member within the last five years.
*Associate Member ($266):This category requires a master's degree in psychology or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university, or associate status with the APA. Associate members may not hold elected positions within WSPA and are not voting members.
*Affiliate Member ($133):This category consists of those persons with an interest in psychology such as, but not limited to, certified paraprofessionals, members of allied professions, high school teachers in psychology, or members of the general public with an interest in psychology. Affiliate members may not hold elected positions within WSPA and are not voting members.
Full Member, Emeritus ($52):This category is for individuals who are fully retired (no longer working), were full WSPA members for at least 20 years and would like to remain connected with WSPA, receive the WP, and attend WSPA conventions, workshops, and events.
*Full Member, New Doctorate (1st &2nd years:$133, 3rd & 4th years:$266):This category can be extended to individuals in fellowship or internship.
*Full Member, Retired ($133):This category is for individuals who have been full members of WSPA, are now in retirement, and work less than 10 paid hours per week. This category requires that you are at least 65 years of age or otherwise receiving social security or retirement program benefits. This is not for members in part time practice.
*Out-of-State Member ($133):This category is for psychologists who reside in other states or Canadian provinces. To be eligible, the person must not be actively practicing within Washington State regardless of their place of residence.
Student Member ($35):This category is for individuals who are enrolled full time in a psychology or a related field doctoral or master's degree program at a regionally accredited college or university and who do not derive any income from applied psychological activities, except stipends and other awards provided by the degree program, or must be an undergraduate with a major in psychology or a related field at a regionally accredited college or university. All communication with student members will be electronic, including receiving the Washington Psychologist newsletter.
Interested Non Member ($0): Choose this category to receive updates from WSPA on relevant news and events for psychologists in the state as well as upcoming CE events. Non members do not receive member benefits.
Referral Service Member (Free to members): This category is for existing members who would like to be added to our online referral service database, a free membership benefit!
Special Category Status ($266):This category is for existing full members who are experiencing adverse financial circumstances. Each case is individually evaluated by the WSPA President and may only be used twice. Please contact WSPA at (206) 547-4220 for a Special Category application.
